Attorney Tiffany Gooden Presents "A View from D.C." at Northeast Indiana Human Resources Association's Annual Conference

Attorney Tiffany Gooden served as a presenter today at the 2009 Northeast Indiana Human Resources Association's annual conference on the campus of Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne.  Significant changes in employment law and regulations occurred toward the end of the Bush administration and have continued with the new Obama administration.  Gooden addressed during her presentation the recent changes to the ADA and FMLA.  She also provided guidance to HR professionals regarding the provisions in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 pertaining to COBRA.  Moreover, Gooden outlined the new Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009, its implications and impact upon employers, and affirmative steps employers can take to help protect their businesses in light of the new legislation.
